Children / Youth

St. John’s has two active Youth groups:

The Yo-Yo’s are for children from Preschool to 6th grade.  We meet monthly on the 1st Sunday of the month after worship for about an hour, in the Youth room.  Activities include a life application message, planning future fun and mission related and/or engaging in such activities or crafts.  Families are invited to attend but not required.

An older Youth group for grades 7-12 has been formed focused on fellowship and mission.  They are meeting every 2nd and 4th Sunday evenings at 6:00 in the Youth room.

Last Campfire

Drag your feet to leave summer by coming to St John’s Camp for one more campfire and overnight!  Friday, September 6th, youth, ages 12 and older will gather at camp at 6:00 for pizza, a “wagon ride”, planning and one last campfire. Ignite the spirit in you for a new school year and year of fellowship as we share our start of the school year and get to know each other deeper as we serve the Lord.  We’ll break camp at 12:00.  Contact Roxanne Davenport by Wednesday September 4th 6pm if attending.  Anyone needing a ride, can meet me at St John’s on Friday at 5pm and return to church by 1:00 on Saturday.

                                                                                                                 Yo-Yo’s

The first meeting of the Yo-Yo’s (young youth ages Pre- 6th grade) will be on September 8th after worship, in the Youth room.  This first gathering will focus on the meaning of Communion in our worship and it is hoped that most can attend. We are finished around 12:15-12:30.
